Two years ago, we symbolically buried our very first camper, “Hetzi”, in front of reception – complete with a deposit-bottle of Kölsch and a gravestone that still marks the spot today. That tongue-in-cheek tale became the starting point for a very real digitalisation project: from now on, his “nephew” – also called Hetzi – supports us as an AI-based phone assistant at reception.
Hetzi answers calls, knows all the key information about the campsite, shares booking tips and, if you like, offers you a call-back from our team. Available 24/7, multilingual and perfectly designed to boost service quality and availability – especially during peak times.
For us, this is another step towards weaving AI practically into everyday camping life without losing that personal touch. Our guests can try Hetzi out right away – and we can’t wait to hear your feedback.
