Glamping with a twist awaits you in sleeping barrel 1013, set right beside the Rur – just curl up inside your round wooden retreat when night falls. Spending the night in a barrel is cosy, out of the ordinary and thoroughly on-trend. An infrared heater together with an electric fan heater keeps the interior pleasantly warm. As standard the barrel sleeps two in comfort; slide the table back and fold the benches up, and two more guests find a place to sleep.

Your barrel stands right on the riverbank. Bed linen for two is already included; for any extra guests, simply bring your own or add it to your booking.

If space is free, you can also reserve a pitch for an igloo tent (3 x 3 m) right beside the barrel. You arrange this tent-pitch booking through the campsite's website.

Once you have unloaded, you leave your vehicle in the guest parking areas outside. You share the campsite's sanitary facilities just like every other camper, and the showers run on shower tokens or 1-euro coins.

A footpath takes you through the tunnel up to the SB & Café Hetzingen, where our guest app lets you pre-order bread rolls until 8 pm – or enjoy breakfast by prior arrangement.
